This Is My Life

I'm a writer (duh) but not just on my own personal blog, I am also a professional freelance writer as well. The beauty of writing is that I get the chance to write about and explore all the different subjects that interest me. I could never pick a major and stick with it in college because I wanted to do so many different things. Being a freelance writer affords me the chance to learn about and explore ALL THE THINGS!

I'm a Mom to a wild child named Jack and an even more wild hog of a dog named Piggy. But we call her Giggy, or DuckDog, or Duck, or Maginot (her real name), or when she's being real sassy she's called Miss Ma'am. Do my son and my dog team up against me and cause massive mischief? Why yes, yes they do. Is it super adorable watching them manipulate me for snacks and toys? Why yes, yes it is. 

My husband and I met on Valentine's Day in 2003 when I got dumped (yes on V-Day, jerk) and my friends forced me to join them at Outback Steak House to drown our single woes in a disgusting amount of Bloomin' Onions. My husband was our waiter that night. Luckily, he didn't judge me for the amount of greasy fried onions I housed that night, and well, the rest as they say is history. 

The best way to get to know me is to read my posts and chat with me on social media. I'm basically an open book. A terrible self-published, poorly edited, open book.
